POSITION OVERVIEW
The Spa Operation Supervisor (SOS) will assist and support the day-to-day operations from the guidance of the Spa Operations Manager (SOM). The SOS is responsible for delivering great guest service, focusing on Member development, and assisting with implementation and execution of key business initiatives for the spa. When needed, the SOS will assist with guest issues, Member issues, and overseeing schedules and timekeeping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Responsible for assisting the SOM with all Member recruitment, onboarding, and training
Oversee day-to-day operations on the spa floor and assist with any guest or Member issues
Work with all spa Members on development through coaching and guidance
Responsible for all scheduling and timekeeping for spa Members and report any discrepancies to the SOM
Handle all Spa Providers product ordering and perform a monthly inventory of all items
Work with SOM on asset protection and emergency procedures to ensure protection of all spa items and guest safety
Ensure all areas of the spa are kept clean and well maintained
Must lead by example by demonstrating exceptional guest service and employee interactions along with following all company and department policies and procedures
Attend and participate in support training and staff meetings
Ensure all Fontainebleau culture values, property, department standards are implemented and applied
Assist in the spa reception and spa facilities when needed
Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of two (2) years working in a luxury resort setting or similar field
At least 6-months of leadership/management experience in a resort spa or related field preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Polished appearance and demeanor
Excellent guest and Member skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
Working knowledge of spa booking systems
Able to multi-task while assisting multiple guests
Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Extraordinary attention to detail, while working under tight deadlines
Ability to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams
Ability to resolve problems to the satisfaction of both the guest and the company
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job supervises all Spa Hosts, Spa Concierge, Lead Spa Hosts, Linen Runners, Spa Operations Supervisors, and Group Sales and Service Supervisors.
