Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and ensure material availability for production. Oversee procurement activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and material purchasing. Coordinate with production planning to ensure material flow aligns with manufacturing schedules and requirements. Manage warehousing operations and logistics for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material costs, inventory turns, and supplier performance. Utilize ERP/MRP systems to forecast material needs, track inventory, and manage material master data. Lead and develop the materials team, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence. Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in inventory control, demand planning, production scheduling, and warehouse operations. Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced data analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Bonus Qualifications
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience with global supply chain management and international logistics. Proficiency in advanced data analytics or business intelligence tools for forecasting and optimization. Demonstrated experience leading ERP/MRP system implementations or major upgrades.
