Responsibilities
Manage and support the Fabrication Shop Quality Team, ensuring all quality activities align with the QA program.
Identify, record, and monitor quality problems; recommend, track, and report corrective actions.
Verify implementation and effectiveness of solutions; control further processing of nonconforming items until disposition is obtained.
Assist in directing internal and external quality audits and assessments of suppliers.
Qualify quality personnel and maintain qualification records.
Participate in selecting and assigning Fabrication Shop Quality personnel, ensuring they are trained and certified.
Review and accept customer free‑issue items and supporting documentation; direct preparation of history dockets/files.
Supervise Quality personnel assigned to projects.
What You Bring To The Team
Preferably a graduate of a four‑year engineering program from a recognized university or equivalent experience.
Minimum 7–10 years of quality assurance experience in the nuclear industry.
Familiarity with nondestructive examination and other inspection techniques used in construction.
Management and leadership experience, with formal training.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Excellent knowledge of the following construction codes:
ASME Section III, Subsections NCA, NB, ND, NE, NF
ASME Section II, Parts A, B & C
ASME Section V, IX, B31.1 & B31.3
10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 21
CSA B51, N285.0, N286, and N299 series of Standards
CSA W59 & W47.1
AWS D1.1 and D1.5
Asset: Prior experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 21.
Asset certifications include:
ASME NQA-1 Nuclear Lead Auditor
CWB Weld Inspector – Level II (CWB 178.2), AWS Certified Welding Inspector or ASNT‑TC‑1A
CGSB Level 2 – Liquid Penetrant & Magnetic Particle Technician
