Role Overview
Dana is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead SAP Center of Excellence Operations with a primary focus on SAP Production Planning and manufacturing execution support. This role owns the stability, optimization, and evolution of SAP PP capabilities across Dana manufacturing facilities and plays a critical role in SAP deployments, organizational changes, continuous improvement initiatives, and ongoing production support. This position requires a hands‑on leader who understands manufacturing environments, SAP in production settings, and how to drive results across cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead SAP Production Planning workstreams across deployments, enhancements, and operational support
Define and execute mid‑term and long‑term SAP PP strategy in coordination with SAP Release and Enterprise IT leadership
Own SAP PP configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Partner closely with plant operations, supply chain, engineering, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Drive efficiency through process improvements, innovation, and automation within SAP and connected systems
Lead SAP PP enhancements, new implementations, and rollouts across Dana facilities
Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications
Ensure system configurations, customizations, and processes meet quality, security, and compliance standards
Partner with developers and technical teams to deliver functional solutions and resolve issues
Ensure incidents and system issues are identified, tracked, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing SAP COE team
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, engineering, or related technical discipline
Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
Seven or more years of relevant SAP and manufacturing systems experience
Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated experience leading SAP workstreams or teams in manufacturing environments
Required Experience
Hands‑on experience with SAP Production Planning in discrete manufacturing environments
Experience supporting SAP deployments, enhancements, and production operations
Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes and how they integrate across systems
Experience With Requirements Gathering, Process Modeling, and Functional Design
Experience developing functional specifications and supporting system testing including integration testing and user acceptance testing
Strong issue identification and problem‑solving skills in complex operational environments
Familiarity with project methodologies and structured delivery approaches
Preferred Technical Experience
Discrete manufacturing environments
MES system integration
Material Master data management
Capacity Planning and MRP
RF scanning solutions
SAP Fiori applications
Inventory Management and Warehouse Management systems
