Biomedical Equipment Technician II
to support

Medical Group Offsite locations , part of Endeavor Health System in Chicagoland, IL. The main role / responsibilities of the position will be to ensure all related biomedical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service and communications skills as well as strong technical skills and commitment to deliver excellent repair service in an expedient manner.

What You’ll Do
Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, maintain and calibrate a basic range of clinical equipment, devices, systems and instruments.
Provide advanced support of equipment for direct patient care.
Interact on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology‑based problems and solutions.
Solve organization‑level customer service issues and complaints with excellent levels of communication.
Prepare required documentation and reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and services and demonstrate a safety mindset.

What You Bring
A minimum of 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining, and calibrating medical devices independently.
Current or prior employment in a field services role.
Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
Experience effectively repairing, maintaining and calibrating clinical devices such as: General Biomedical Devices‑ ESU’s, Vital sign machines, Defibrillators, AD’s, Telemetry, EKG, Alaris IV Infusion Pumps, Phillips Patent Monitoring Systems, plus OR, Jetsons, and Ventilators (not all are required).
Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement – Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing, maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment.
Minimum Functional Experience – 3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro‑mechanical repair in a health care technology setting.
