We are seeking a highly motivated, goal‑focused, customer‑oriented team member for the role of Senior Property Manager.

Salary: $24.00 – $25.00 per hour.

Job Overview

Oversee the overall management of multiple self‑storage facilities and supervise team members. Typically, manage approximately five locations, each with one or more employees. Support facilities open 5–6 days per week and require a rotating onsite shift schedule, including at least one Saturday per month.

Foster a culture that demonstrates the core values of National Storage Affiliates: Integrity, Accountability, Humility, Compassion with team members at all levels.

Host and attend virtual meetings on a regular schedule (weekly, bi‑weekly, monthly, bi‑monthly, quarterly, annually) and provide impromptu participation as needed.

Create monthly schedules to support business needs and cover shifts when required.

Ensure stores are staffed, properties are clean, customers are attended to, and calls are answered.

Partner with the Recruiting Department to interview for open positions.

Develop, performance‑manage, and mentor team members. Coach the team to provide excellent customer service focused on retaining customers and building rapport with new customers.

Ensure that team members complete new‑hire training and ongoing employee training in compliance with company policies.

Ensure all facilities and team members adhere to safety standards, operational procedures, and financial goals.

Conduct monthly audits of each store to verify accuracy of bank records and tenant accounts and adherence to company policies.

Conduct monthly auctions and ensure compliance with current state lien laws.

Review and monitor maintenance and planned capital expenses at facilities, ensuring assets remain in good condition and positively represent the NSA Storage brands.

Oversee contract and license matters.

Position Requirements

All work must comply with safety regulations and applicable safety policies and standards.

Physical activity required: extensive walking, use of stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, cutting property locks for auctions, and other related duties.

Travel by car to storage facilities within the support area; ability to travel by rental vehicle or personal vehicle as required. Must be available for overnight and out‑of‑state travel when necessary.

Multi‑unit property management experience preferred.

Management experience with a team of employees.

Excellent time‑management and multi‑tasking skills using calendar cadence and scheduling.

Strong customer service, sales, phone, organizational, and computer skills (Microsoft Office suite and Power BI). Proficient math for auditing, cash handling, and accurate record keeping.

Availability to host and attend virtual meetings with camera when possible.

Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance.

Ability to pass and maintain a clean criminal background check.

Work Monday‑Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and at least one Saturday per month from 9 am to 5 pm; may be on call during off Saturdays and Sundays.

Must live within 20 miles of the area or be open to relocating within 20 miles.
