Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Transportation Project Manager to oversee the planning, design, and implementation of roadway, bridge, drainage, and utility projects in Baton Rouge or New Orleans, Louisiana. The successful candidate will manage small to medium‑sized projects and serve as a deputy on larger initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead project administration from budgeting and schedule through procurement and contract closeout.
Establish project objectives, policies, and ensure adherence to design, budget, and schedule.
Provide management, guidance, and mentorship to subordinate managers and ensure effective client communication.
Manage profit/loss responsibilities and deliver projects to client satisfaction.
Support multidisciplinary teams, including subconsultants, on design and construction activities.
Qualifications
BA/BS with at least 8 years of relevant experience in transportation engineering.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) registered in Louisiana or eligible for reciprocity.
10+ years of design and project delivery experience on transportation projects, including schematic development and PS&E preparation.
Experience with highway/roadway and drainage system design, traffic control plans, and design software such as MicroStation, InRoads, or OpenRoads.
Strong communication, leadership, and client‑relations skills.
Knowledge of LADOTD regulations, ATSSA, and TEPR modules is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits Salary: $113,304.49 – $209,613.30 yearly.
