A day in the life

Your shift starts with a walk-through of the production floor. You review work orders, check on scheduled preventive maintenance, and triage any equipment alarms. A molding line needs a quick diagnostic—your understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and electrical systems lets you zero in on root cause, make the repair, and get the team back to producing. Between calls, you bench test and rebuild fill guns and ejectors, log water samples to verify hardness and pH, and swap out a few worn parts on a fork truck as part of our PM program.

Later, you set and remove production molds per documented procedures, clean and lubricate critical components, and assist a teammate in troubleshooting a stubborn pneumatic issue using schematics. You might replace a fuse, hang a light, re-seat a minor plumbing fixture, or apply touch‑up paint to protect equipment surfaces. Throughout the day you follow lockout/tagout, wear required PPE, keep your area clean, and complete all required paperwork—living up to Altor Solutions’ standards for safety and conduct.
