Job Description Our organization works with partner companies to source qualified talent for their open roles. Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Program Manager I. The expected annual salary range for this role is $94,000 – $130,000 a year.

Location

Hybrid role must work on‑site 3 days a week in Southfield, Michigan or Carol Stream, IL. Relocation not available. Candidate must currently reside within 50 mi of either location.

What You’ll Do

Manage the project lifecycle from development through launch while achieving business case financials of NPI and STP programs or VAVE projects.

Lead cross‑functional teams to drive accountability and performance for commercial, technical, and manufacturing readiness levels at start of production.

Develop and execute comprehensive project management plans that deliver on scope, schedule, and financial commitments.

Influence and secure baseline business case expectations with key stakeholders.

Establish resource management plans, build effective cross‑functional team dynamics, and drive proactive risk mitigation.

Leverage program management standard work processes, tools, and performance measures to provide operational cadence, agility and transparency during project execution.

Establish and execute effective internal and external stakeholder communication strategies.

Effectively tailor messaging and lead project/program reviews with multiple levels of leadership.

Develop negotiation strategies with functional partners and ensure effective change management processes.

Engage in new business proposal development by partnering on product strategy and product roadmap initiatives.

Strengthen skillsets in cross‑functional and operational knowledge areas outside of previous domain expertise.

Minimum Education Required Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in Program Management, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing/SCM, or Product Development.

Experience in managing and leading projects through complete NPI cycle as a Program Manager.

Proficient in Program and Project Management methodologies, processes, and tools.

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Candidate must currently reside within 50 mi of either Southfield, MI or Carol Stream, IL. Relocation not available.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Business or Engineering.

Previous automotive project management experience.

Knowledge of passenger car and commercial vehicle product/markets.

PMP Certification from PMI.

Experience in Requirements and Risk Management.

Knowledge of product and project portfolio management principles.
