Value Added Distributors

as a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist and partner with the internal team and sales to ensure customer expectations are met through exceptional service, quality products, delivery time, and fulfillment.

Job Overview The VMI Specialist will manage inventory levels, monitor stock, generate replenishment orders, and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure product availability at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management: Monitor customer stock levels and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels.

Replenishment & Ordering: Generate replenishment orders based on data analysis and customer needs, ensuring timely delivery of products.

Customer Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts, provide on‑site support, and review biannual VMI reports with customers.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze sales data and inventory trends to forecast needs, identify issues, and generate reports for management.

Supply Chain Coordination: Address and resolve discrepancies, supply chain challenges, and system issues to maintain efficient inventory flow.

Sales Support: Collaborate with sales and business development teams to drive revenue growth and identify product expansion opportunities.

Logistics & Operations: Manage product receiving, putting away, and pull and deliver products to the proper inventory location.

Training: Participate in all required training and cross‑train in other areas to assist with store operations, production, and shipping & receiving.

Alignment with VAC Vision: Integrate each by aligning performance goals and business initiatives to ensure objectives are achieved.

Comfortable driving in all weather conditions.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

21+ years old with two years of driving experience in all weather conditions.

Background in supply chain or logistics is ideal.

Ability to safely lift 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.

Previous working knowledge of hydraulic components is a plus.

Data entry using ERP software; type 25+ wpm.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

DOT medical card and Class C Non‑CDL driver’s license (van and box truck) necessary.

Workplace Environment The position is in a production facility requiring vision, hands, fingers, and arms to operate small tools and safety equipment while standing for long periods. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, shoes) must be worn. The role involves frequent speaking with coworkers and customers to troubleshoot and complete tasks.

Schedule & Travel Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (Day Shift) with overtime as needed. Daily driving up to 1.25 hours one‑way to customer locations.
