The Security Supervisor provides daily leadership to the Housing Safety Ambassador team, which conducts safety/security patrols and services for Housing & Hospitality owned residential properties. This position supervises 24/7 security operations, overseeing approximately 20‑25 full‑time direct reports. Primary responsibilities include achieving short‑ and long‑term department goals, ensuring protocol compliance, managing staff performance, monitoring base station/security desk operations, running daily deployment meetings, facilitating critical communications, controlling department costs, providing training, ensuring proper staffing coverage, and responding to incidents and public inquiries. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check. Salary & Compensation

Salary offers at the top of the range are uncommon. 3–5 years experience in security operations (Required) 1 year direct experience leading or supervising teams (Required) Demonstrated ability to supervise safety/security staff, including training, performance management, and progressive discipline (Required) Working knowledge of security best practices and operational needs, including organizational structures and protocols (Required) Ability to prioritize operational tasks on a tight schedule and respond quickly to emergencies (Required) Experience with computer‑based security systems, including access control and CCTV (Required) General knowledge of first aid, CPR, and AED (Preferred) Strong judgment, ethical standards, and interpersonal skills for professional relationships with staff, residents, guests, and management (Required) Excellent oral and written communication skills, including timely reporting and documentation (Required) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (Required) Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work a flexible schedule including overnight and overtime (Required) Ability to complete a vehicle safety training course and operate University vehicles as needed (Required) Offer of employment contingent upon completion of a physical suitability examination (Required) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
High School Diploma (Preferred) Bachelor's Degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, business management, or related field (Preferred) Valid CA noncommercial Class C License upon hire (Required) Special Conditions for Employment
