Production Supervisor – Night Shift
Comar is a fast‑paced and customer‑focused manufacturing company. We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Production Supervisor to join our Operations team and drive Operational Excellence across our plants.
The Role
Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
Promote positive safety behavior with the team.
Identify, correct and report unsafe conditions.
Supervise the manufacture of products to verify conformance to specifications.
Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOP) are followed correctly.
Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Organize and coordinate the workflow in the department during the shift.
Pursue and contribute to cost‑reduction methods.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement to achieve quality and production goals: develop, recommend and implement measures to improve manufacturing and support procedures, practices, production methods and product quality.
Develop and lead a high‑performing team: establish clear expectations and monitor individual and team performance.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising and rewarding performance; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
One‑year certificate from a college or technical school.
1–2 years of related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Basic arithmetic skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral or visual form.
Physical Demands
Regularly exposed to light industrial fumes or airborne particles in a climate‑controlled environment.
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Exposed to loud noise levels.
Compensation
Entry‑level compensation: $62,000.
Qualified candidates may receive additional bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, 401(k), tuition reimbursement and ancillary benefits.
