AIS Infrastructure is a group of four heavy civil construction companies, offering infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, and site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States. We handle highways, bridges, power plants, dams, reservoirs, underground utilities, site development, and more.

General Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient and effective operations of AIS Infrastructure's construction and industrial services projects, ensuring successful execution and adherence to safety standards and protocols established by AIS Infrastructure.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize project execution.

Monitor and evaluate project performance to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution.

Identify and mitigate operational risks and issues proactively to minimize project delays or disruptions.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Required Job Skills & Abilities

Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Solid understanding of construction and industrial services operations, including knowledge of relevant equipment, tools, and materials.

Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.

Education, Knowledge & Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.

Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or industrial services operations.

In‑depth knowledge of project management principles and practices.

Familiarity with construction software and tools (AutoCAD, Primavera, ERP systems).

Working Environment & Conditions

The Operations Manager primarily works in an office setting but will also visit project sites as needed.

Potential hazards may include construction‑related risks such as working at heights, exposure to heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials.

Job may involve physical demands such as walking, standing, and occasional lifting.

Work schedule may vary depending on project requirements and may include weekends or extended hours.

Travel to project sites or client locations may be required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Additional)

Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction and industrial services industry.

Proficiency in using project management software and tools.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and address operational challenges.

Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in project deliverables.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Customer‑service oriented mindset with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.

Physical & Mental Requirements

Physical: walking, standing, bending, and occasional lifting of light to moderate weights.

Mental: managing multiple priorities, working under pressure, and making sound decisions in fast‑paced environments.

Ability to work in various weather conditions depending on project locations.
