Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $123,750.00 - $181,500.00 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What You’ll Do This role will lead the OPEX function for the Electrical Engineering Services and Systems Division (EESSD). As the driving force behind our waste reduction, process control, and process improvement initiatives, your team will be accountable for implementing and managing projects that promise significant efficiency improvement resulting in cost savings. Leveraging your expertise in Quality and CI / lean principles, you’ll lead, facilitate, and execute projects with a keen eye on delivering results that elevate and sustain our efficiency, performance, operational safety, and process standards.
Responsible for deploying EQMS, CIF, & ELSS methodology throughout the organization and leading continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence throughout the Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division strategy.
Ensure the regional businesses comply with applicable Eaton, customer, and industry‑specific Quality requirements by conducting the necessary audits and assessments and determining system effectiveness.
Ensure work processes are standardized and consistently deployed. Identify and implement new materials, equipment, processes, technology, and procedures to enhance and improve division product lines and their corresponding work processes.
Analyze organizational Quality metrics and perform Management Reviews to evaluate results and recommend countermeasures to close gaps at the operational level.
Work with Local, Regional, and Divisional leadership to identify high‑priority areas for improvement through annual product line value‑stream mapping rounds so that ELSS efforts are aligned to and fully support Profit Plan and Strategic Plan goals.
Drive the identification and elimination of process variations resulting in external and internal failures through EQS, ELSS and other tools and processes.
Define and implement strategic initiatives to ensure continued success in deploying the Eaton Business System by using established Eaton EBS tools.
Assist in improvement activities, including training, mentoring, facilitating RIEs, Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.
Deliver cost‑productivity improvements (Lean Cost Out) by managing projects focused on productivity & efficiency.
Identify & promote Best‑Practices within Plant and the Eaton Global Community of Best Practice sharing.
Train and coach process owners in lean and statistical tools, approaches, and techniques to create process management and measurement systems and develop an operational excellence mindset at all levels of the organization.
Utilize change‑management techniques such as ADKAR to effectively drive and sustain process improvements.
Develop strong working relationships with Local, Regional, and Divisional leadership teams through regular communication regarding progress toward goals/objectives related specifically to operational excellence initiatives and improvement activities to drive overall performance across all levels within EESSD globally.
Maintain, adjust, and continuously improve key support processes in Asset Management, Document Control, Non‑Conformance and Innovation Intake Systems, and Customer Satisfaction Management.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations, engineering or quality.
Minimum of 3 years experience managing direct reports.
Must live within a 75‑mile radius of an Eaton location.
Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodologies. Ability to demonstrate proven experience in process development, implementation and sustainability.
Knowledge of the standards, implementation, and certification process of ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems.
Experience in auditing processes, product, suppliers or other applicable areas.
Preferred Six Sigma Black Belt.
Soft skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written.
Ability to lead effectively in a matrix organization across several locations.
