Job Title HVAC/R Service Assistant Technician (Energy Force LLC Division)

Why this role is important Budderfly installs advanced technologies to save energy on our customers’ sites.

Ensuring that these technologies operate efficiently and without issue is vital to the success of the organization.

This role is a key player on a team tasked with maintaining optimal performance and customer satisfaction of HVAC units.

Responsibilities

Ensure continued excellent operation of Budderfly HVAC units within your geographic area.

Maintain and repair HVAC/R systems and equipment.

Identify maintenance risks on HVAC/R equipment.

Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC/R systems.

Complete commissioning checks to ensure efficient operation, including checking HVAC RTU controller configurations.

Provide physical maintenance such as changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting/replacing belts, and inspecting for mechanical failures.

Respond to emergency service calls on nights and weekends (when on‑call).

Perform warranty and emergency repairs efficiently.

Keep daily logs and records of all functions in the company work‑order system.

Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.

Assist with customer queries.

Desired Skills and Experience

HVAC controls experience – familiarity with Lennox Core and Carrier SystemVu controllers is a benefit.

New technical school graduate.

Ability to recognize control and mechanical issues before they compound.

Enthusiasm for continuous learning, supported by the organization.

Desire to grow professionally beyond routine tasks.

Willingness to help shape a developing team with fellow technicians.

Customer‑focused and safety‑intuitive.

Ability to travel within the region and surrounding states.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

All tools and equipment required for daily work will be supplied by Budderfly.

A vehicle with maintenance and reimbursement will be supplied upon completion of the training period.

Compensation $18—$25 USD per hour, based on level of experience, skill set, qualifications, and location.
