Managing Consultant - Multifamily Development & Construction - Florida We are recruiting for a self‑performing national multifamily developer in their search for an Assistant Project Manager. The successful candidate will support the execution of a ground‑up garden‑style multifamily development. This role bridges field operations and project administration, ensuring that schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and self‑perform crews align with company standards for quality, safety, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities Project Coordination
Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and managing all phases of construction from pre‑con to closeout.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design or field conflicts.
Support the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, procurement logs, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
Track progress and update internal reporting systems to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
Assist with change order preparation, cost tracking, and budget updates.
Review subcontractor invoices, purchase orders, and assist in maintaining accurate job cost records.
Support quantity take‑offs and material procurement, particularly for self‑performed scopes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
2–4 years of experience in multifamily or commercial construction, ideally with a self‑performing general contractor or developer.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and scheduling software (Procore, MS Project, etc.).
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and follow‑through.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience in Procore or similar construction management platforms is preferred.
