O'Reilly Auto Parts
The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Functions
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products safely and efficiently.
Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily inspections.
Keep vehicles clean and maintained, performing daily inspections before operation.
Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies at all times.
Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
Communicate any customer problems or special needs to store management.
Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock the vehicle at the end of business.
Clock in/out according to company policy.
Perform additional duties as assigned (customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, errands, core returns, stock orders).
Occasionally assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising tasks as business dictates.
All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
Driving record meeting the company’s 14/18‑point system.
Legally required state driver’s license and meeting company driving eligibility requirements.
Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with automotive parts.
Ability to operate other light store equipment.
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
