Reports to: Business Excellence Manager.
Location: Electrification Distribution Solutions in Pinetops, NC.
Your Role and Responsibilities In this role, you will support the Product Manager in optimizing the offer portfolio and return on investment. You will ensure ABB has a full understanding of market requirements, transform those into offer specifications and development activities, and showcase your expertise by performing various offer lifecycle activities supporting development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability.
Key Accountabilities
Understand and follow global or assigned area standards, market and customer requirements, and assess their impact on the current offer portfolio.
Conduct valuation of market size and trends, competitor analyses, identify offering gaps, and evaluate ABB’s market standing.
Determine if technical solutions can be leveraged across the Product Group’s offer portfolio to the maximum possible extent.
Manage the technical specification of assigned products and support the Product Manager in developing the business case on offer developments, maintenance, and cost reduction.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (EE preferred).
Minimum 8 years of experience working in the electrical industry.
Minimum 5 years of Sales, Marketing, and Project Quotations experience.
3 plus years of industry and leadership experience preferred.
Ability to leverage wide variety of electronic tools to stay organized and communicate effectively remotely (Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce.com, Teams, etc.).
Strong understanding of advanced electrical concepts across low- and medium-voltage applications, with expertise in industrialization and production processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of domestic utility grid operations, including generation, transmission, substation functionality, distribution products, and points of delivery, as well as industrial applications of power.
Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US.
