Overview
Supv House Admin PRN – HCA Florida Putnam Hospital, a 99‑bed acute care facility in Palatka, Florida. The role supports unit operations and patient care in a dynamic, high‑volume environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee unit operations and maintain appropriate staffing ratios, adjusting staff as needed to cover call outs, low census, or other unit needs.
Report and document time spent during shift, including issues, outcomes, and rounding results of high‑risk patients to Administrator on Call and Department Leaders before shift end.
Coordinate admissions and discharges, ensuring timely patient placement.
Assist Employee Health/Infection Control with flu vaccine administration, respirator fit testing, potential hospital‑acquired infection monitoring, and other employee‑related tasks.
Serve as initial liaison for Medical Staff issues and concerns.
Act as patient advocate in situations where none is available.
Mentor and guide employees throughout shift.
Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, establish personal networks, participate in professional societies, and maintain appropriate national certifications.
Demonstrate effective delegation, time management, teamwork promotion, and conflict resolution skills.
Successfully complete orientation and competency validation for the position.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate Degree.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Understanding of hospital policy and procedures.
Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership ability.
