Job Summary:
The Candidate will support U.S. STRATCOM at Offutt AFB, NE, a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services. The role will ensure mission success and safety by providing key cybersecurity monitoring and mitigation services.
Essential Functions
Supports 24x7 DCO operations for the CSSP Information Systems Continuous Monitoring mission.
Performs cyber threat mitigation for U.S. STRATCOM enterprise systems.
Ensures CSSP functional capabilities are continuously monitored for alerts, warnings, and indicators of cybersecurity events.
Manages correlation and analysis of cybersecurity events to identify anomalous/malicious activities.
Works with systems and network administrators to protect, monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity events.
Maintains situational awareness of CSSP capabilities and functions, notifying of degradations and unscheduled outages.
Proactively troubleshoots, analyzes, identifies, deconflicts, and isolates problems affecting CSSP operations.
Recommends courses of action to restore impacted systems and implements selected actions as directed by U.S. STRATCOM.
Documents DCO actions in the CSSP master stations log and compiles technical activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Valid certification such as CySA+, CBROPS, CFR, FITSP‑O, GCIA, GDSA, GICSP or GCFA.
Security clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligibility required).
Preferred Qualifications
ITIL Foundation.
Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Certified SOC Analyst, GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), GIAC GCIH, or GIAC DCIA.
