Licensing and Compliance Manager
– Sun Atlas Power
The Licensing & Compliance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that Sun Atlas Power remains fully compliant with all state and local regulatory requirements across all active markets. This individual will oversee the management of licenses, certifications, registrations, and continuing education requirements for both the company and its Responsible Managing Employees (RMEs).
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all company and RME licenses, certifications, and registrations across all states and jurisdictions.
Prepare and submit new license applications for company entities, RMEs, and qualifying agents.
Track and manage renewal schedules, deadlines, and associated fees to ensure uninterrupted compliance.
Coordinate with state boards, local municipalities, and regulatory agencies regarding application status, documentation requirements, and rule updates.
Monitor changes in licensing laws, permitting regulations, and continuing education requirements across all operating markets.
Develop and maintain internal compliance calendars and alerts to prevent lapses in licensure or certification.
Support internal audits and maintain organized, accessible records of all compliance documentation.
Work closely with leadership to ensure that Sun Atlas Power's business practices align with legal and regulatory standards in each state.
Track continuing education deadlines and requirements for RMEs and key personnel.
Register RMEs and staff for necessary courses or training to maintain credentials.
Maintain documentation of completed education units for audit or renewal purposes.
Create and maintain standardized processes for document collection, filing, and submission.
Manage and update internal compliance databases, trackers, and cloud-based document systems.
Partner with the Operations, Legal, and HR teams to ensure compliance requirements are fully integrated into company operations.
Assist with onboarding new markets by identifying licensing prerequisites and coordinating application packages.
All other duties are assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3+ years of experience in licensing, compliance, or regulatory administration (preferably in the construction, solar, or energy industries).
Proven experience managing multi-state compliance portfolios is highly preferred.
Deep understanding of state and local licensing processes and compliance documentation.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Proficient with spreadsheets, project management tools, and document management systems.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with regulatory authorities.
Physical Requirements
