Conduct market research to identify trends, new technologies, and potential supply chain risks.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365) for procurement processes.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain principles.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities for supply chain optimization.
Bonus Qualifications
Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, assembly).
Experience with "should cost" modeling or total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
Lean Six Sigma certification or experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
