to provide guidance, support, and encouragement to those in need.
Job Posting: Peer Support Specialist Position Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients navigating withdrawal and recovery processes.
Share personal experiences and coping strategies to foster trust and understanding.
Assist clients in developing personalized recovery plans, including establishing goals and connecting with community resources.
Facilitate peer support groups and workshops, promoting a sense of community among participants.
Work collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure holistic care and support for all clients.
Qualifications
Certification as a Peer Support Specialist
Personal experience with addiction and recovery is essential.
Previous experience in peer support, counseling, or social services is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate compassion.
