Position Summary Assistant Store Manager are accountable for all aspects of store performance, creating an inclusive team environment, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
People & Training
Act as Manager on duty, handling scheduling issues and customer complaints.
Manage associates using LIDS Training Programs, goal setting, and regular follow‑up.
Administer progressive discipline, verbal and written warnings.
Engage team, establish inclusive environment.
Schedule and staffing, calling associates for unexpected peaks.
Assist in recruiting and training store personnel.
Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory safeguarding.
Other duties as assigned.
Customer Experience
Lead and execute Sales 101 strategy to achieve KPIs and sales targets.
Resolve customer feedback and address escalations.
Offer membership programs and special offers to customers.
Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines.
Maintain professional appearance consistent with dress code.
Operations
Execute company‑level directives, promotions, and initiatives.
Maintain safe work environment, follow Policies & Procedures Manual.
Maintain store technology and equipment, conduct daily audits.
Manage cash, open/close till, bank drops.
Prepare store for inventory audits and support audits.
Open and close the store following the Operations P&P Manual.
Product & Inventory Management
Protect Company assets and follow LIDs Retail policies.
Assist in preparing store schedules within wage control guidelines.
Accurately manage inventory: receiving, transferring, price changes, product counts.
Organize backroom for efficiency.
Execute visual merchandising and product presentation strategy; manage window activations, mannequin flips.
Maintain store look and feel through day‑to‑day VM.
Execute special pricing signage and promotional presentation adjustments.
Job Knowledge & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent plus one year related experience.
Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
Strong interpersonal skills and clear verbal communication.
Computer proficiency, including relative software programs.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climb ladder; work hands overhead.
Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.
Work unsupervised.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 45% above local minimum wage based on experience. Full‑time employees eligible for monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount. Full‑time benefits include PTO, health, vision, dental, and 401(k).
