About the Position We are looking for a
Supportive Housing Peer Support Specialist
(PSS) to join our team at Rogue Ridge Apartments in Ashland, Oregon. The role involves peer-to-peer support with adult mental health consumers, providing compassionate guidance, helping new residents feel welcome, coordinating peer groups, offering personal care services such as shopping, meal preparation, and socialization, and using self-disclosure to normalize mental health challenges.
Work Schedule Tuesdays, Thursdays through Saturdays, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (Part Time, Day)
Compensation $22.00 – $25.20 per hour DOE/Credentials with an additional 5% Language Differential for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).
What You’ll Need
Personal experience with mental health challenges
Certified and Registered as a
Peer Support Specialist (PSS)
or
Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS)
through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).
Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days); safe driving record; passed DHS criminal background check.
Physical Requirements This position requires frequent talking, listening, use of hands and fingers, sitting, standing, walking, reaching; and lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 40 pounds. It may require occasional stair or ladder climbing, bending, stooping, squatting/kneeling, and other physical tasks. Candidates must also complete crisis de‑escalation and CPR training.
About the Program Rogue Ridge is a 26-unit Permanent Supportive Housing program that provides affordable housing to low‑income, chronically homeless residents, combined with behavioral health and tenancy supports.
