Estimator – Peachtree Corners, GA With minimal supervision, the Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive bids for Commercial Industrial Doors and Commercial Entry Door Systems. Resulting in profitable sales and positive customer relationships. Knowledge or experience in any of the many fields we service is a plus, such as Commercial Distribution, Manufacturing, Parking and Security, Government and Municipality, Healthcare, Education, Retail Storefronts, along with others.
Job Responsibilities
Rapidly develop or possess advanced level skills at using DH Pace estimating processes and procedures and utilizing DH Pace estimating software as well as other business software programs. (Excel, BAAN, SAM, Bluebeam, etc)
Rapidly develop or possess advanced level knowledge of door and door related products, understanding functionality, special features, usage options as well as pricing variance based on specific job needs.
Rapidly develop understanding of Core Product Lines, Vendors, Labor Standards
Educate sales team on product options and assist customers in product selection to ensure sale and best project outcome.
Perform effective Quote Request Review, Scope Creation, Material List, and Product Selections to generate accurate Project Cost Estimates and Bids.
Estimate advanced and complex projects of limited project size, writing all proposals clearly and concisely for review and approval by Manager prior to customer's review.
Promote and maintain a positive attitude toward outside contractors, architects and individuals within the Company regardless of the circumstances.
Meet or exceed annual estimating volume expectations as warranted based on experience level or length of time in the position.
Manage time effectively while sustaining individual and team workloads.
Work overtime as required.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a business setting.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of commercial door work experience.
Must have strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Possess strong language, written and mathematical skills.
Must be computer literate. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office desirable.
