Maintenance Machine Repair/Electrical - 2nd Shift This position is on second (2nd) shift, working 3:00pm - 11:00pm EST. The job is located in Saint Marys Township, OH.

Responsibilities

Performs the required duties in accordance with safety guidelines and lean principles by complying with all safety procedures and company policies.

Executes preventative maintenance of equipment and building facilities.

Troubleshoots various types of manufacturing equipment to limit machine downtime.

Uses a broad range of hand and machine tools to disassemble and reassemble equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient operations.

Performs building maintenance duties, including troubleshooting light electrical equipment, carpentry, and plumbing.

Initiates machine programs using CNC or P.C. programmers.

Identifies and remediates safety hazards and concerns.

Works with outside contractors to ensure business objectives are met in a timely fashion.

Uses shop math, complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and precision instruments, along with electrical and electronic devices and programmers, to identify problems on various types of CNC and P.C. controlled machines.

Performs machining and welding.

Stays up-to-date with related maintenance training of electronic and hydraulic systems.

Performs duties in accordance with safety guidelines and lean principles (including formal problem solving).

Actively participates in company-sponsored training programs.

Deals ethically with Parker's customers, suppliers, fellow associates, and the general public.

Clean equipment and work area.

Completes additional duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

3+ years of related maintenance experience and/or maintenance education.

Ability to perform maintenance trades including welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication; rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems; mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Basic computer skills.

Basic math skills.

Basic understanding of gauging/measuring devices.

Basic blueprint understanding.

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete tasks.

Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and problem solve.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with troubleshooting and programming of PLC controllers.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting rate for this position: $29.24/hour, up to $33.91/hour.

When on an off shift, a $1.00/hour shift premium.

Physical Demands / Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. The employee will regularly bend, stoop, and stretch while handling parts/objects in various situations. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception. This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes, and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
