Position Overview As a Flatbed Semi‑Truck Driver, you will safely transport freight across the United States. The role requires verifiable experience with flat‑bed semi‑trucks, preferably including B‑trains, and expertise in tarping, chaining, and load securement.

Key Responsibilities
Operate flat‑bed semi‑trucks for OTR hauls
Perform tarping, chaining, and securement of loads
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
Maintain accurate logs and documentation
Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods
Fit 4‑foot and 8‑foot tarps over loaded product to securely fasten to the trailer
Operate an industrial vehicle in accordance with applicable state and federal transportation laws
Transport loads safely and on schedule, obeying all traffic laws
Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follow loading crew signals
Assist with loading and unloading of materials, using specialized equipment when warranted
Maintain work orders, signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork
Facilitate routine service on trucks and report equipment issues to appropriate parties
Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
Verify load weight distribution as product is loaded onto the trailer
Requirements
CDL A license
Acceptable driving record
Minimum of 1 year of semi‑truck driving experience
Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of flat‑bed semi‑truck driving experience – B‑train experience preferred
Minimum age 21 years
Ability to pass drug screen
Physical ability to perform job duties, including bending, lifting, reaching, climbing, and managing tarps, straps, chains, and cables
OTR availability (typically 5 days out/2 days in schedule; option to stay out longer)
Verifiable experience in chaining, strapping, tarping loads, including coiled steel
Ability to drive a manual transmission
Preferred Qualifications
Hazmat endorsement
Experience transporting bulk hazardous materials
Hazmat cargo experience
TWIC card
Ability to travel to Canada
X endorsement
Military veteran status (Veterans Affairs Agency Bronze Level Employer)

$50 tarp pay per load
