What You Need
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Completion of an accredited Magnetic Resonance (MR) program required
Minimum of 5 years previous experience in MR, hospital setting preferred with EPIC
Prior leadership experience preferred but not required
Credentialed, and in good standing, through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in MR or the equivalent, required
Current BLS required
Schedule 1.0 FTE; 40 hours/week; Variable Shift
Major Responsibilities
Performs duties of MR Technologist
Point of contact for vendors, service engineers, and providers
Maintains efficient and effective department operation while complying with all state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols
Through collaboration with MR radiologists develop, implement and ensure protocols, policies and procedures are current
Collaborate with MR radiologists to ensure satisfaction with quality of exams
Establish a system for ordering supplies and maintaining par levels in the department
Establish and maintain annual safety training for all hospital staff and additional training for staff who work in the MR suite
Perform a biannual review and update of the procedure manual and conduct an annual review with departmental technologists
Maintain performance improvement activities within the department pertaining to patient flow efficiencies for patients, customers, and staff
Assist Director of Imaging in performance improvement projects
Assist in staff performance evaluation, development and coaching
Keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of Magnetic Resonance (MR) through continuing medical education
Responsible for all quality control compliance including working in collaboration with the director to take immediate corrective action for any out‑of‑compliance testing
Develop and maintain procedure scheduling through Epic
Participate in and drive results through strategic performance improvement initiatives
Foster a high‑performing culture and drive employee engagement
Participate in monthly departmental meetings reporting on any assigned tasks and sharing information/ideas with department personnel
Coordinate the MR technologist's schedule with Imaging Department Lead ensuring adequate coverage for daily operations and call (if necessary)
Support the Imaging Director in project development and implementation
Assist the Imaging Director with marketing services
Ensure department activities and outcomes are aligned with the strategic plan and the organization's mission, vision and values
Be aware of budget limitations and cooperate within set guidelines
