Position Title
Project Manager
Position Description As a Project Manager, you will provide high-level leadership across project delivery, client management, marketing efforts, and team development. You will serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams, overseeing some of the firm’s most complex and strategically important projects. This role requires strong technical acumen, business insight, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams toward successful, profitable outcomes.
Position Salary Range The expected salary range for this position is $ 82,000
to $ 110,000
annually.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Administration, or a related field
10+ years of job-related experience
Current professional license/registration or a project management certification (or equivalent in-house training)
Proficiency with Revit, project management software, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Deltek Vantagepoint, and Outlook
Strong understanding of industry standards, building codes, and construction practices
Excellent design insight, problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly
Exceptional communication, collaboration skills, and relationship management with clients, internal teams, and external partners
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Smartsheets
Position Responsibilities
Prepare fee proposals; develop and negotiate project contracts; identify scope changes and prepare additional services agreements
Collaborate with design leaders and discipline leads to establish and manage project budgets
Ensure project profitability targets (20% or higher) are met or exceeded
Conduct weekly project reviews to monitor earned value and resource utilization and adjust staffing
Initiate and maintain project information and opportunities in Deltek Vantagepoint
Develop project work plans and budgets in collaboration with Project Coordinators
Coordinate project billing with client accounting requirements, ensuring accurate and timely invoices
Manage accounts receivable and support collections efforts to meet the firm’s goal of payment within 30 days of deadlines
Provide expert knowledge of project processes and maintain clear, consistent communication with teams and clients
Identify and communicate potential additional services that align with client needs
Understand client goals and ensure the project team delivers outcomes aligned with their vision
Plan, communicate, and track project milestones and deliverables
Schedule regular reviews with the Principal in Charge and other PM leadership
Lead QA/QC efforts from project inception through completion, including quality assurance, research, and follow-up
Oversee project closeout activities and lead lessons-learned discussions
May supervise team members, including training, task assignment, performance review, coaching, and conflict resolution, in alignment with company policies
Build and strengthen client relationships, support business development and market growth initiatives
Lead or support project interviews and proposal efforts
Perform other duties as assigned
