Duties
The expectation is that this role would be on-site in Jackson 3 days a week. Responsible for the execution and enhancement of standard processes related to telcom design and delivery to our electric substation facilities. The position requires communicating work processes and status updates to multiple stakeholders throughout a project's lifecycle in a concise manner that enables application of the information to direct schedule and delivery. The incumbent will support project engineering and design, construction and field personnel with telcom related coordination of buildouts as well as cellular study analysis using applicable tools.
Skills
Knowledge on Network, LAN, WAN and telcom technologies. Knowledge on submitting and tracking telcom new/change/disconnect orders. Understanding of IEEE standards for HVD substation communications. Ability to track and maintain multiple tasks and project statuses. Database & Microsoft Office proficiency. Strong desire to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes and capable of enforcing processes and procedures. Self-motivated and pro‑active with demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are a critical requirement. Minimum 2 years experience in related field. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to internal Business Partners. Ability to work well under minimal supervision. Ability to balance technical requirements with business capability need. Team‑oriented interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including vendors, engineers, Project Managers and IT.
Education
Associates degree or equivalent experience.
