Hardware In The Loop Integration Test Engineer
Join Amentum as a Hardware In The Loop Integration Test Engineer. Your role will involve developing and maintaining HiL testing solutions for vehicle, system, and sub‑system testing while collaborating with engineers to ensure data integrity.
Responsibilities
Develop HiL applications to support vehicle, system, and sub‑system testing.
Manage the design, evaluation, selection, and integration of HiL technologies.
Participate in HiL architectural and design decision making.
Upgrade and diagnose test stand infrastructure as required.
Provide expert knowledge for integrating critical components of HiL infrastructure.
Integrate HiL control strategies into existing mechanical test systems.
Interact with internal engineers and technicians to support test systems and maintain data integrity.
Develop and implement test automation functions such as test setup, execution, data collection, and report generation.
Participate in developing new equipment specifications to meet testing requirements.
Develop and deliver business cases, presentations, and project documentation to upper management.
Minimum Requirements
BS in Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience working with dSPACE, Vector CANoe/Analyzer, and LabVIEW.
Knowledge of electronics and experience in electrical instrumentation (signal conditioning, transducers, accelerometers, etc.).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team.
Knowledge in automotive technologies, laboratory/test environment, and test & measurement technologies.
Expertise integrating HiL control systems with third‑party actuators, PLCs, etc.
Ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate problem solving, creativity, and quick decision making.
Preferred Qualifications
BS or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience deploying real‑time data acquisition/control solutions on industry‑standard platforms (Windows, dSPACE, Vector CANoe/Analyzer).
Highly skilled and experienced in HiL programming and integration with various test and measurement systems to achieve automation.
