Information Security Analyst – General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT)

Location & Travel Fort Liberty, NC, USA. On‑site work with 25–50% travel required.
Job Details Full‑time, 40‑hour week. Senior‑level (Mid‑Senior). US citizenship required. 3+ years related experience. Clearance level: Top Secret/SCI (must currently possess and be able to obtain).
Responsibilities
Incident handling, incident response, intrusion analysis, and threat hunting.
Digital forensic analysis, vulnerability scanning, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
Track and handle cybersecurity incidents/events from detection to resolution.
Coordinate investigations with appropriate parties and maintain communications.
Collaborate with specialty teams to resolve complex problems.
Troubleshoot security tools on the network and ensure seamless operation.
Ensure ACAS vulnerability scanning mechanisms are operational.
Perform Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) duties and act as POC between parent org and cyber teams.
Conduct change requests, software authorizations, static code analysis, account reviews, and other A&A tasks.
Act as central point of contact for all cyber security inquiries and redirect as necessary.
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent education/work experience.
3+ years of related experience in data security administration.
Certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP (minimum IAT II). Within 6 months of hire – CSSP Incident Responder (IR): CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA‑Security, CHFI, CySA+, GCFA, GCIH, SCYBER. Preferred: GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, GNFA, Linux+, CCNA R&S, Splunk Power User.
Proficiency navigating Windows 10/Server 2012/2016 and Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL 6/7/8).
Basic scripting skills in PowerShell, BASH, or Windows command‑line.
Understanding of network ports, protocols, and services.
Experience with SIEM tools (HBSS, Splunk, others) and OSINT.
Incident investigations via McAfee HBSS suite, SolarWinds, Cisco ISE, Cylance, Phantom, StealthWatch, etc.
Build and maintain ACAS infrastructure and analyze scan results.
Preferred Skills
Strong desire to learn new skills, techniques, and tactics.
Ability to multi‑task and adapt to changing priorities in high‑stress environments.
Resilient, motivated to investigate unfamiliar and anomalous problems.
Excellent critical thinking and ability to correlate data from multiple sources.
