Sheet Metal Technician

Job Type & Schedule Full-time, Standard, First Shift, Relocation Available
Responsibilities
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and instructions to determine project scope, assembly sequences, and required materials.
Precision Layout: Lay out and modify sheet metal parts accurately based on specifications, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
Fabrication & Forming: Cut, bend, drill, and form sheet metal components, including creating radii and preparing holes for fasteners.
Riveting & Fastening: Install solid and blind rivets using rivet guns, squeeze tools, and other equipment to assemble aircraft structures securely.
Surface Preparation: Debur holes and edges, countersink and dimple surfaces, and smooth seams for high-quality finishes.
Repair & Alteration: Perform alterations and repairs on existing parts, maintaining compliance with aviation standards and safety requirements.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; WorkKeys bronze level certification accepted.
Minimum 2 years of diversified aviation sheet metal experience.
Skilled in blueprint interpretation, layout, and precision fabrication techniques.
Proficient in riveting, drilling, countersinking, and surface preparation.
Familiarity with FAA AC 43.13-1B and aircraft structural repair manuals preferred.
