Overview We’re seeking a

Network Engineer

to join an IT Network Operations team supporting a fast‑paced professional services environment. This is a

full‑time, exempt

role reporting to the Network Operations Manager. The position requires

five (5) days per week on‑site

in

Orange County, CA

(highly preferred: candidates with experience supporting

Orange County‑based law firms ).

Compensation:

$140,000–$150,000

(base salary), commensurate with experience.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday during standard business hours, with flexibility for after‑hours work as needed.

Participation in an on‑call rotation

for infrastructure monitoring and critical support is required.

Key Responsibilities Network & Systems Operations

Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot

LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi

networks.

Provide

Tier 3 escalation support

to IT teammates and end users.

Perform

system upgrades, patching, and maintenance

during scheduled after‑hours windows when required.

Document system processes, architecture changes, and change control in project/change management tools.

Maintain accurate technical documentation including

network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery references .

Security & Compliance

Maintain and enforce security policies related to systems, storage, and sites.

Administer email security tooling and policies (e.g., secure transport, allow/block lists, reputation controls).

Support

legal hold

processes and data retention requirements as applicable.

Administer and manage vulnerability scanning (e.g., Tenable) and endpoint security (e.g., CrowdStrike Falcon).

Coordinate clearly with internal IT teams and business stakeholders.

Track and document projects, tasks, and outcomes in the organization’s documentation and ticketing systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands‑on experience designing and supporting

enterprise networks

(LAN/WAN/Wireless).

Advanced

Cisco

configuration and troubleshooting (switching/routing, IOS‑based platforms).

Deep understanding of

TCP/IP, OSI model, routing/switching concepts, and traffic analysis .

Experience with virtualization and related infrastructure, including

VMware vSphere .

Systems management experience with

SCCM, Intune , patch management, and software deployment.

Storage experience with

SAN technologies

(Nimble a plus).

Microsoft infrastructure experience including

Microsoft 365/Exchange

and

SQL

in virtualized environments.

Significant experience with

Citrix

environments (e.g., XenDesktop, NetScaler VPX).

Firewall experience (e.g.,

Fortinet ).

Monitoring tools experience (e.g.,

PRTG, SolarWinds ).

Windows Server administration experience (e.g.,

AD/GPO, DHCP, DNS, Sites and Services ).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Technical certifications preferred (e.g.,

CCNA, MCSE, VCP ).

8+ years

of network engineering/network administration experience required.

Law firm experience is required ; professional services experience strongly valued.
