General Job Description IES Residential is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician specializing in security, audio/video, home automation, and structured cabling systems. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in residential environments throughout the Nashville area.
Responsibilities
Program and install residential cable and internet systems
Install and configure home automation systems
Troubleshoot and service installed systems, including security and AV
Install and terminate low-voltage, CAT4/CAT5 (or CAT5e/CAT6), and fiber systems
Follow all company and jobsite safety standards
Maintain reliable communication and professionalism on job sites
Minimum Education None
Minimum Years Of Experience 2-4
Requirements Specific Qualifications
Experience in low-voltage, security, and audio/video installation
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in the field
Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, testers, and ladders
Must be able to pass and comply with all required safety training
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Experience with home automation platforms
Fiber termination and testing skills
Previous work in residential construction environments
License Required Yes
