This position functions as the recognized resource Architect for the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO). The employee performs advanced, complex architectural assignments requiring expert knowledge of NGB 415 space entitlement criteria, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), DoD design requirements, Antiterrorism and Force Protection (ATFP), AR 190-11 secure facility standards, and federal-state hybrid building regulations. The Architect develops architectural design solutions, prepares construction documents, and coordinates work with multiple engineering disciplines for new construction and modernization of Michigan Army National Guard facilities. The position applies specialized knowledge of roofing and building envelope systems that separate the interior of a building from the exterior environment, telecommunications and IT infrastructure integration, and high-consequence quality standards. Work includes field investigations, construction support, consultant coordination, and statewide architectural guidance for CFMO modernization initiatives.

Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in architecture.

Experience Three years of professional experience providing architect services equivalent to an Architect, including one year equivalent to an Architect P11.
