This position will perform installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, and system development for all systems including motor controls, distributive controls, PLC’s, communications systems such as satellite, cellular, RF systems, SCADA operations maintenance and any other technical issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
Provides I & E support for assigned assets such as natural gas processing plants, pipelines, compressor stations.
Installs, inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and calibrates midstream instrumentation (flow meters, transmitters, sensors, analyzers, data loggers, PLCs, DCS).
Installs, inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment (motor control centers, generators, transformers, switches, relays, wiring, signal and communication systems, VFD, PDCs, UPS).
Configures and programs industrial control systems. Performs loops checks, point‑to‑point verification, and other testing regimes.
Maintains complete, accurate, and regulatory‑compliant documentation.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license required
Must be able to pass drug test and background check
Must be able to work 12‑hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Skills
Calibration: Perform calibration on instruments with accuracy and precision in accordance with established procedures.
CMMS: Use software package with maintenance functionalities (equipment data management, preventive maintenance, work order system).
Electrical Equipment & Distribution Network: Knowledge of electrical components and transmission & distribution network.
Industrial Control Systems: Experience with SCADA, DCS, PLC.
Industrial Instrumentation Fundamentals: Practical knowledge of instrumentation used in midstream industry.
Safety: Recognize safety risks and apply control measures.
Safety Awareness: Identify potential hazards and use lockout/tagout procedures. Stop work if unsafe.
Wireless Technologies: Knowledge of devices used to communicate sensor data via wireless links.
