Purpose The Senior Manufacturing Execution System Administrator will provide team leadership in delivering Manufacturing Equipment System solutions for the fabs at the Texas Institute for Electronics (TIE). This position is a leadership role and requires strong problem-solving ability and well-balanced people skills and will be integral to the success of the TIE Manufacturing team with the modeling and deployment of the MES system.
Responsibilities
Develop industry best practices, standards and procedures for the MES (Applied Smart Factory MES for ATP)
Modeling of the fab and tools in the MES system and deployment of the system
Advise the Automation team on the integration strategies and best practices of the MES with the Equipment Integration
Advise the Engineering teams on the integration and best practices of the MES with SPC and APC (R2R)
Develop the training program for the MES system and lead the training of the engineering teams and staff
Develop technical assessment and design solutions to improve the manufacturing systems and maximizing overall business value
Responsible for developing programs for high availability and disaster recovery of the MES system
Responsible for the monitoring of the system performance, analyzing and correcting errors and ensuring smooth operations
Support and advise the engineering teams of the MES. Clarify more complex residual problems and ensure ongoing 24/7 production
Serve as subject matter expert for all systems and projects developed and maintained for the MES system
Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
BS degree in engineering or related discipline (Computer Science, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering degree preferred).
At least 15 years working with MES in the Semiconductor industry
Experience with the design, development, implementation, and testing of MES solutions
Must be well versed in manufacturing information systems and familiar with manufacturing operations and enterprise applications
Strong business process understanding across manufacturing
Proficient in MES interfaces with enterprise and manufacturing applications
Proficient in hardware, computing, and networking infrastructure
Proficient in MES software and application configuration
Experience with programming and relational databases
Integrating Industry 4.0 technologies
Exceptional verbal and written ability with the aptitude to communicate professionally
Experience working with cross functional teams and working on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work across multiple concurrent activities and successfully adapt to changing priorities as required
