Torque Technician – Optimized Process Designs LLC
Location: Vidor, TX. The role supports the installation and verification of flanging and other joint bolting for natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical projects.
What You Will Do
Execute technical bolting and joint integrity services in accordance with site and company procedures.
Operate calibrated tools, including torque wrenches and pneumatic/hydraulic torquing equipment; calibrate to desired torque pressure.
Identify and use all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
Properly bolt up flanges using correct materials as indicated on the BOM.
Identify improper flange connections such as hi/lo, wrong gasket or bolts.

Participate in onsite safety meetings.
Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures.
Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite.
Be on time to the jobsite each day, ready for work.

Have high attention to detail to avoid reworks and errors.
Meet physical demands: work in outdoor weather, lift objects up to 60 lb, stand up to 11 h, move entire body, work on elevated platforms, wear harness when required.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
At least 2 years of experience as a Torque Technician.
What Will Put You Ahead
Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment.
Experience as a leader for safety.
Familiar with welding basics.
