Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and streaming solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS services, real‑time data ingestion frameworks, and Python‑based ETL workflows. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, secure, and compliant data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and streaming solutions using AWS services such as Kinesis, Lambda, Glue, S3, EMR, and Redshift.

Develop and maintain real‑time data ingestion frameworks leveraging Apache Kafka and Amazon Kinesis.

Write clean, efficient, and reusable Python code for ETL processes and data transformations.

Implement event‑driven and serverless architectures using AWS Lambda.

Build and optimize Spark/PySpark‑based ETL workflows on AWS EMR and Glue.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and application teams to deliver robust data solutions.

Monitor and troubleshoot data flow and performance issues in production environments.

Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS cloud services (Kinesis, Lambda, Glue, S3, EMR, IAM, Redshift).

Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation tasks.

Hands‑on experience with PySpark/Spark for large‑scale data processing.

Experience with Apache Kafka for streaming and messaging pipelines.

Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL workflows, and distributed data systems.

Working knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform is a plus.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $80,330 - $95,185/yearly. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full‑time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
