Senior Database Administrator – Oracle (TS/SCI Required) We are seeking a

Senior Oracle Database Administrator

to support

USSTRATCOM

at Offutt AFB, NE. This role supports mission‑critical systems responsible for national security, strategic deterrence, and 24x7 global operations.

You will work in a complex, secure DoD environment managing Oracle databases, storage, backups, performance tuning, and compliance with Cyber Command STIGs.

Key Responsibilities

Install, upgrade, patch, and tune Oracle DBMS software

Develop and maintain

Perl

and

UNIX shell

scripts for database monitoring

Perform daily, weekly, and archival backup verification and restores

Configure database storage, sizing, recovery, security, and versions

Work closely with System Administrators on system configuration and disk allocation

Perform database performance tuning and production support

Ensure databases comply with

DoD Cyber Command STIGs

Design and manage complex database schemas and architectures

Provide expertise in

data storage systems , backup, and archival policies

Support heterogeneous and distributed computing environments

Required Qualifications

10–16 years

of relevant experience

MS or MA

in Computer Science, IT, Data Management, or related field

Strong experience with

Oracle Database Administration

Expertise in database design, governance, and data warehousing

Experience working in secure DoD environments

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Active TS/SCI clearance
