Position Overview Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an open opportunity for an experienced Configuration Management (CM) Analyst to join our team at the Plymouth, Minnesota location. This role may be filled as a Configuration Management Analyst level 2 or 3, depending on the candidate’s education and/or years of experience.
The role is part of the Armament Systems Configuration and Data Management Team that focuses on providing tools, processes, and subject matter expertise for configuration and data management activities across our programs, suppliers, and partners for all engineering programs. Analysts are key program drivers managing product configuration baselines (Functional, Allocated, and Product) and releases through Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, JIRA, Bitbucket, SharePoint, and system modeling tools.
Responsibilities
Program Analyst at the forefront of program strategy: create, update, and maintain program Configuration Management/Data Management Plans.
Coach and manage programmatic alignment to Configuration Management/Data Management Plans across various program or project Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Perform program audits and lead various Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings in coordination with the internal team and external customers.
Support the process of Change Notices (CNs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Requests for Variance (RFVs).
Act as program advocate and driver, supporting generation, release, and delivery of Contract/Supplier Data Requirements Listings (CDRLs/SDRLs) to ensure delivered items meet contractual requirements.
Basic Qualifications
To qualify as Configuration Management Analyst (Level 2):
Bachelor’s degree
in information technology, business/project management, computer information systems, or library sciences & analytics plus 2 years of relevant experience in CM/DM; or master’s degree.
To qualify as Principal Configuration Management Analyst (Level 3):
Bachelor’s degree
in the same fields plus 5 years of related experience in CM/DM; or master’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience working in configuration management within a highly regulated industry.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a DOD security clearance to the level of Secret.
Experience understanding and translating contractual requirements into program planning activities.
Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and data management tools.
Experience managing customer deliverables (CDRLs) and supplier deliverables (SDRLs).
Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000 and proper application for drawing generation and Technical Data Package (TDP) deliveries.
Preferred Qualifications
Engagement in 1–2 professional engineering or project management organizations.
Experience with Cameo System Modeler or Cameo Enterprise Architect.
Experience with Agile Program Management.
Experience in the aerospace industry.
Experience using Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira.
Experience with Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (Teamcenter Enterprise Product Information Center or Teamcenter Unified Architecture).
Familiarity with Export Control regulations (EAR/ITAR).
Experience applying the CM/DM Standard of ANSI/EIA‑649, as well as ASME Standards—specifically ASME Y14.100, Y14.34, Y14.35, and Y14.5‑2009 (or later).
Experience supporting and presenting at program reviews with customers.
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for part and component part number entry and revision control for manufacturing and builds at various factory locations.
Familiar with drafting practices and design drawing interpretation, including program contract requirements application and verification.
Compensation Primary Level Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers multiple factors when determining base salary offers such as scope and responsibilities of the position and candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
