Senior Complex Litigation Attorney
Southern California – Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Walnut Creek, Palo Alto, San Diego (Hybrid)
Salary Range $210,000 – $225,000 (commensurate with experience)
A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking a seasoned Senior Associate or Counsel-level attorney with strong experience in complex defense litigation. This opportunity offers a flexible hybrid schedule and the chance to work with high-profile clients on meaningful matters across Southern California.
About the Role The attorney will manage a diverse caseload involving general liability, transportation, personal injury, and catastrophic injury matters. This is a hands-on role with exposure to all stages of litigation, including trial prep and client strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage complex litigation files from intake through resolution
Handle depositions, mediations, court appearances, and trial preparation
Collaborate with partners and legal teams across offices
Maintain proactive client communication and provide strategic counsel
Supervise junior attorneys or legal staff as needed
What You Bring
JD from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing in California
8+ years of experience in defense litigation—preferably in general liability, personal injury, transportation, or catastrophic injury
Strong writing, organizational, and oral advocacy skills
Client-facing experience and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
First-chair trial experience and legal project management are a plus
