Kolodny Law Firm is a dynamic and rapidly growing plaintiff’s personal-injury practice committed to delivering high-quality legal services. We are currently seeking a dedicated and adaptable litigation paralegal to join our team. In this in-person role, you will provide comprehensive support to our attorneys primarily in our litigation cases while also contributing occasionally to the firm’s pre‑litigation needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the drafting, reviewing, serving, and/or filing of pleadings and/or written discovery requests and responses
Negotiate with insurance adjusters to resolve legal disputes
Handle client phone calls and in‑office meetings
Calendar important litigation dates and deadlines
Order, review, and organize client medical and billing records
Support supervising attorneys in preparation for depositions, mediations, and/or trials
Support occasionally pre‑litigation files (including but not limited to drafting demand letters and letters of representation, assisting clients with scheduling medical treatment, and intaking new cases)
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or legal secretary.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to think critically, solve problems independently, and demonstrate initiative in both legal and marketing tasks.
Motivation to complete a large volume of tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Willingness to pursue certification as a Notary Public (if not already certified).
Familiarity with legal software and office applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).
Case‑management‑software experience is a plus. Filevine experience is preferred.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
