The Opportunity As a real‑estate paralegal, you will assist attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions—including documentation, due diligence, closing and post‑closing activities for acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing. You will be a member of the firm’s Real‑Estate department and will report to the attorneys on your team.

The Day‑to‑Day

Review title commitments, exception documents, surveys, zoning reports and other due diligence, interfacing with title companies, surveyors or vendors.

Prepare title objection letters and negotiate title policies and endorsements.

Prepare and administer contract critical dates and closing checklists.

Coordinate and assist with all aspects of closings, including preparation of conveyance documents, closing statements, signature packages, notices and other closing documents.

Attend to all post‑closing requirements, such as preparing closing indices, organizing binder, uploading documentation to shared sites, and monitoring deliveries with updates to attorneys.

Prepare clear and concise correspondence and memoranda.

Review lease agreements, property management agreements, purchase agreements and related property agreements. Draft initial documents, amendments, estoppel certificates, SNDAs and memoranda of lease for attorney review.

Review organizational and authority documents, prepare formations, obtain EINs.

Order and review UCC liens, PACER and other searches.

You Have

Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast‑paced environment with commercial real estate transactions. Law firm and in‑house experience will be considered.

A bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate (or equivalent experience).

Proficiency in PDF software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with mail and calendar technology.

Strong writing, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
