San Antonio, TX law firm is seeking a full‑time Associate Attorney with experience in first‑party insurance litigation, including residential and commercial property claims.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated litigator with strong legal research and writing skills, hands‑on experience advising clients, and the ability to negotiate effectively with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel.

This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and meaningful matters in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment with direct client interaction and substantial responsibility.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Admission to the applicable state bar and in good standing

2-6 years of experience handling first‑party insurance litigation involving property claims

First‑party bad faith litigation with personal injury experience is preferred

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Ability to manage cases independently while working effectively within a team environment

Key Responsibilities

Handle first‑party insurance litigation matters involving residential and commercial property claims from inception through resolution

Litigate bad faith insurance claims, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery

Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal memoranda and written advocacy

Advise clients regarding coverage issues, litigation strategy, and case developments

Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and defense attorneys

Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings

Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management and client service

Billable Hours: None

Salary: 80-145k

Benefits: Health insurance paid by law firm; 401k plan after being employed by the law firm for a calendar year; 80 hours PTO; paid holidays.
