Job Overview Kroes Northwest is hiring a skilled and detail-driven PEMB Erector Superintendent to lead the safe, accurate, and efficient erection of pre-engineered metal buildings on complex commercial and industrial projects. This position is ideal for a seasoned field leader with deep hands‑on PEMB experience who plans ahead, holds tolerances tight, leads with calm authority, and values safety above all. You’ll oversee crews, coordinate crane picks, review anchor bolt layouts, and ensure that steel buildings go up right—the first time.

Responsibilities
Plan and lead all PEMB erection activities: steel delivery, staging, framing, bracing, paneling, doors, and trim
Verify site conditions, foundations, anchor bolt placement, and tolerances prior to mobilization
Review and interpret PEMB manufacturer drawings, erection manuals, and structural specs
Coordinate lift plans, crane scheduling, and sequencing of work
Ensure buildings are erected plumb, square, and true to specification
Supervise PEMB erection crews, ironworkers, and foremen with steady leadership
Assign daily tasks and ensure productivity, professionalism, and morale
Mentor crew leads and teach best practices instead of micromanaging
Create a respectful, results-driven jobsite culture
Enforce OSHA, site-specific, and company safety protocols—especially fall protection
Conduct daily safety meetings, pre-task plans, and rigging checks
Stop unsafe work immediately without hesitation
Participate in safety audits and incident reviews
Develop look-ahead schedules for all steel erection activities
Coordinate closely with PMs, crane providers, concrete crews, and other trades
Communicate delays, field constraints, or changes clearly and promptly
Ensure accuracy in primary and secondary framing, panels, trim, and accessories
Confirm installation aligns with manufacturer specs and engineered details
Lead punch list and rework activities with urgency and ownership
Maintain daily reports, manpower logs, and equipment usage
Track production progress versus budget and timeline
Support Project Managers with field notes for change orders and status updates
Required Qualifications
5–10 years of direct PEMB erection experience
3+ years in a superintendent or lead foreman role
In-depth knowledge of PEMB systems, erection tolerances, rigging, and sequencing
Proficient with manufacturer erection drawings and structural details
Excellent leadership, communication, and planning skills
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30 certification
Experience coordinating anchor bolt and foundation interface
Familiarity with tablets and construction management software
Prior work on commercial, industrial, or agricultural PEMB projects
