Overview Manage academic responsibilities in the Department of Administration, Leadership, and Technology to ensure compliance with University protocols and uphold academic integrity. Oversee academic communications and policies in alignment with the Department Chair and Administrative Director's vision and strategic goals for the Department. Work directly with the Department Chair, Administrative Director, program directors, and administrative staff to ensure faculty teaching loads adhere to university agreements. Manage the appointment process for adjuncts, students, and staff, including onboarding new personnel. Direct course scheduling for ALT programs. Manage various department and research accounts, including faculty IDA, startup accounts, and internal/external grants. Serve as the department point person for the Steinhardt Faculty Affairs Office for faculty recruitment administration, tenure, and promotion. Hire, train, and supervise staff.

Responsibilities Required Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Preferred Education

Master's Degree

Required Experience

5+ years of increasingly responsible administrative experience

Experience managing administrative services/processes and serving as administrative liaison with other organizational offices at all levels

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Experience with budget administration and/or accounting principles

Some supervising experience

Ability to communicate policies and procedures to a diverse population at all levels

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Knowledge of standard office software

Demonstrated use of business application software, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Flexible office hours surrounding events and important tasks

Ability to work in a team and independently

Ability to work on a team and independently

Ability to identify issues and resolve them in a timely fashion

Qualifications In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
