The Senior Sourcing Analyst will be based in Austin and will report to the Senior Sourcing Manager. This will be a highly cross functional and collaborative role working closely with numerous teams including but not limited to: Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Finance, Logistics, and Program Management. This role will require travel, both domestic and international.
A little about you: You see challenges as opportunities, you have a keen eye for detail, and you bring a wealth of strategic sourcing and supplier development experience to the table. You can demonstrate the ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies across a global supplier footprint. You are curious to listen, analyze, engage, and advise internal business stakeholders, strategic suppliers, and peers. With your ability to locate and develop new sources for our product requirements, you support the YETI brand promise directly along with the overall supply chain requirements of the business.
Responsibilities:
Source and manage a world‑class supply base based upon 3‑year strategy plans and product roadmap needs
Define and execute on sourcing strategies with YETI cross functional teams by leveraging internal and industry data to ensure optimal cost, compliance, and continuity of supply
Support YETI new product development (NPD) projects including supplier search, RFP/RFQ, business award, and project execution
Analyze and determine cost reduction opportunities by leveraging volumes, optimizing the supplier base, and reducing total cost of ownership
Evaluate and plan supplier capacities to ensure ability to meet YETI’s growing demand and product road map
Functions as subject matter expert by understanding trends, technologies, and market dynamics that impact YETI’s supply chain
Negotiate and implement supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross‑functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
Identify continuous improvement and digital transformation opportunities by evaluating procedural or operational shortcomings within sourcing process, and shares improvement strategies with the Sourcing team
Minor administrative work i.e. revising price changes and placing indirect purchase orders as needed
Qualifications and Attributes:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Supply Chain or Business
Greater than 8 years of strategic sourcing or supply chain experience in a consumer goods industry
Experience working with suppliers in the plastics industry is preferred
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures
Analytical and strategic problem‑solving capabilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to handle sudden setbacks
Willingness to operate in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
Willingness to travel between 20-50% domestic and international
